September Origami Club 9月の折り紙クラブ

In our September Origami Club, we had 6 children joined from California,  Netherlands, England, and Switzerland! Thank you so much for joining!

As the Moon Viewing festival approaching, we made essential items like a rabbit, an offering tray, rice dumplings and pampas grass as we learned about the each meaning. 

Even though we all live in different parts of the world, it is so lovely to be able to share the same values and culture. I am so grateful. 

I love the feeling of oneness that connects us together through Japanese tradition. I love witnessing the moment when the faces of children light up as we make origami. 

Thank you so much! Looking forward to the next one in October!

もうすぐお月見。
お月見の意味を確認してから作ったウサギ、三方、お団子、ススキ。

住んでいる場所は違っても、同じお月さまを見上げながら共有する気持ち、文化。素敵ですよね。

日本の文化でみんなが繋がる瞬間が好き。

折り紙をしながら、子供たちの顔がパッと明るくなる瞬間を見るのが好き。
