February Japanese Class at Preschool 二月の幼稚園で日本語クラス

The topic in my February visit was Setsubun, chanting “oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi! —Eveil out, Fortune in!” We talked about Japanese Oni, Ogre, adding “wearing pats of Oni” on top of our usual songs. 

After the class, we played outside. This gives me as much happiness as in the classroom. Then suddenly started the “tag” chase, one against 12! Every children ran so fast! I got a good exercise!

The rain brought good growth to the grass and flower. This edible yellow flower is called “sour grass” as Ms. Mischelle introduced me. A girl recommended me to try it. It was sweet and sour, grassy and crunchy. 

It was around Valentine’s Day, so they gifted me their hearts.  So sweet and lovely. I will treasure them!

幼稚園でも節分についてお話ししました。みんなで「鬼は外！福は内」と掛け声をかけながら。

鬼のお話をして。いつもの歌に加え「鬼のパンツ」も熱唱。

クラスが終わった後はお外で一緒に遊びました。この時間も至福のとき。みんなの笑顔が輝いています。そして始まった追いかけっこ。1対クラス全員12人ですよ？みんな走るの早いの！いい運動になりました。

雨が続いていたので草花も伸びています。この黄色い花は「サワーグラス」と言って、茎が食べれるそう。子供達に勧められて私も食べてみると、甘酸っぱくてシャリシャリして、美味しかったです。

そしてバレンタインの時期とも重なりこんな素敵なプレゼントも用意してくれていました。お庭に咲いている綺麗なお花。もう泣ける。
