December Japanese Class at Preschool 幼稚園で日本語クラス

December visit to the Little Sprouts preschool was another treat in the holiday season.

The day I visited was clear sky though the children were stranded inside for a few days as the rainy season came to California. We did more songs using our bodies to get our energy out. I am so impressed with children who can sing along so well and this was my third visit!  The teacher told me that the children would perform Japanese songs at school’s Christmas concert.  I really appreciate teacher’s effort to make this a part of it.

I love to spend a few minutes with them outside after class. This day I learned that that the daily chicken duty to feed them, and let them loose. 

“This is for you when you miss me!” A boy gave me flower petal. The overwhelming gifts of flowers and leaves from children always brightens me.  

The power stone crystal with love and the energy of children added will always get me going for sure. 

Starting January, we have so many Japanese festivals and events coming up that I am very excited and looking forward to sharing them with Little Sprouts.  Thank you so much for the lovely time!

12月も子供達に会いに海辺の幼稚園へ出かけました。

カリフォルニアにもやっと雨季が訪れ、この日は晴れたものの、ずっと雨続きだったので子供達はエネルギーが有り余っていたよう！体を動かす歌を予定より多く取り入れて、みんなで元気いっぱい楽しく過ごしました。

そして子供達の歌の覚えがすごいのなんのって。３度目なのに一緒に歌えるのがすごく嬉しい。12月のクリスマスコンサートでは、日本の童謡も何曲か発表してくれたそう。そこまで導いてくださる先生方に感謝です。

1月からは日本のイベント目白押しなので、それもシェアできるのがとても楽しみです。

終わった後はガーデンで一緒に過ごすひととき。鶏の餌やりは毎日のお当番制だそうです。そしてまた素敵なお花や葉っぱの贈り物。「これは先生が寂しくなったら僕を思い出せるように！」って花びらをくれたり。

“ラブ”ってハート付きのクリスタルも頂きました。子供達のパワーも加わって元気が出そう！今月もありがとうございました！
