March Calligraphy Class 3月の書のクラス

For March Calligraphy class, we worked on kanji character 「武」. This kanji character must be somewhat familiar to ninjas as this is part of their school name 武神館ーBujinkan, but it’s a complex character with eight strokes with an angled hook and ending with strong dot on top. Though everyone did amazing as always, and the 75 min passed by so quickly with great energy, concentration and laughter. We had a great time. 

This was Linda’s first ever holding the brush and I was so stunned by what she accomplished on her first day. She is an very enthusiastic student of my Japanese class, and her whole family is learning Bujinkan Nin jitsu.

3月の書のクラスは道場の皆さんが見慣れている「武」を学びました。

見慣れているとはいえ、画数も多く、角度のある跳ねからの点もあり、なかなかバランスが難しかったと思うのですが、素晴らしい作品が揃い、みんなで楽しくあっという間の75分でした。

今回、全く初めて筆を持ったというLさん。ご覧ください、この堂々たる「武」！ご家族で忍術を学び、日本語にもとても熱心に取り組んでらっしゃいます。
