100% more fun than school! 学校より100%楽しい！

September has come, the new Japanese class has begun. We learned about Otsukimi-the moon festival, over two weeks in kids class.

When we were making the otsukimi card, my student said, 

“I want the moon looking through the window”.

“I want to make the vase look so cool.”

What an excellent taste! Children surprise me with their senses and creativity.

The moon dumplings were also the highlight of the class during the second week.

I received a message from his mother saying he told his parents that my Japanese class is 100% more fun than school!

I know he goes to a great school that values nature exploration and hands on learning, so no doubt he has fun at school.  I am still thrilled that he enjoyed my class! I strive to offer the Japanese cultural class filled with fun and inspiration!

9月に入り子供日本語クラスも再開。2週に分けてお月見について学びました。

「僕は窓ごしに眺める月を描きたい」

「ススキはカッコいい花瓶で活けたい」と言いながら、仕上げたお月見カード。

風情があってもう最高に素敵じゃないですか！そんな子供の発想が、感性が凄すぎて毎回唸っています。

次週お団子も「おいしい」とご満悦。

後日お母さんからメッセージが来て「日本語のクラスは学校より100％楽しい！」とお家で報告してくれたとのこと。

彼が通っている学校は自然との関わりながらハンズオンの学びに重きをおくとっても楽しい学校だから、彼が学校に楽しく通っているのはよく知っています。そんな彼が私のクラスもそんな風に言ってくれるなんてもう嬉しすぎて飛び上がっちゃいます！これからも刺激のある楽しさで日本を感じてもらえるよう頑張ります！
