対談しましょう！とお話をいただいて叶った直後、この４月から中学一年生に上がる息子さんRくんの英語レッスンをさせていただきました！

英語にはアルファベットが一つ変わるだけで、意味も発音も変わってくる単語が沢山あります。

Bug - 虫　Bag - カバン　Cup - コップ　Cap - 野球帽　などなど。

その中から十数個ピックアップして、確認の後、クイズをしたり、混ぜこぜにしたりしながら、25分後にはパッとみただけで発音できるまでに。

もちろん、全て英語で学びます。

はじめてでも元気な声で沢山発音してくれたRくん。これからどんどん単語を増やしていって、ぐんぐん会話できるようになるのが楽しみでなりません！

英語で学び、意味を考えながら英語で会話し、理解するからコミュニケーションの自信もつきますね！

My dear Satoko sensei is an accomplished interpreter and language instructor of French, English, and Japanese. 

After the last meeting, I had the opportunity to teach English to her son R, who is entering into middle school this month.

We focused on sight words and phonics to ease him into learning middle school level English. 

In English, there are many words that change meanings when a letter is different such as Bug & Bag, Cup & Cap.

By the end of our 25 minute lesson, he was able to sight and read 14 of these words perfectly!

R spoke loud and clear, practicing pronunciation while playing games and doing quizzes in English, without any hesitation. 

I am so excited for his English learning as he starts his middle school years, 

and how he will thrive as he increases his vocabulary. 

Practicing to think and guess in English, on top of speaking in English, are all good drills to learn English. 

Accumulating these small successes is the key to building confidence!
