Asagao Shodo: Calligraphy Workshop

We had a wonderful time at Online Calligraphy workshop!

Although this student lives on the East Coast, she found me through the dojo in Santa Cruz, CA where I used to teach calligraphy before Covid.

I couldn’t believe it was her first time doing calligraphy. Her enthusiastic passion for art and learning touched me.

As we are both martial arts students, she quickly picked up subtle nuances and immediately expressed them with her brush strokes. We are learning ninjutsu from the same master, and we have excited about it and a lot to talk about!

I hope we can continue to spend time together again soon!

オンライン書道のクラスを開催いたしました。ご参加ありがとうございました！

コロナ前に忍者道場で書道クラスを開催させていただいたご縁で東海岸からご参加くださいました。

母の日に書道セットをお願いしたという熱心な生徒さん。

書道は初めてとは思えないほど、ちょっとしたニュアンスもお互い武道を学ぶ同志、すぐに感じ取られて筆に表現されていました。

離れていても同じ師から忍術を学んでいる私たち。これからも筆をもつ時間を共にできると嬉しいです。
