Sharing passion with a calligrapher in Kyoto! 京都の書道家さんとお話ししました！

東京・大阪での書道教室　「書道のはな＊みち」を主宰されている高宮華子先生のご縁で京都在住の書道家さん諏訪麻里子さんとzoomで初めてお話ししました！

麻里子さんは3人のお子さんのママさんであられて、子育てに一生懸命なママさん達が筆を持ち文字を練習する自分時間を持つことで、心がリセットされ自信がつき、また笑顔で子供達と接することができるようにという熱い想い持つ先生。それを「筆育」という言葉に託し、ママさん達を中心に活動を広めてらっしゃいます。

書道との出会いや意気込み、これからどんな風に広めていき、どんな楽しみ方を提供することができるのか。

同じ書道を学ぶ弟子として、練習方法のコツや道具の情報交換。

お互いのこれからの目標、夢を語り、海を越えて一緒に頑張れる、応援しあえる仲間がいることは本当に心強い。

麻里子さんの心地よい関西弁に、普段はほぼ標準語の私も関西弁に。久しぶりに自分に戻った気分。

麻里子さん、楽しい時間をありがとうございました！これからもどうぞよろしくお願いします。華子先生を通して素敵な仲間の輪が広がっていくのは嬉しいです。次回日本に帰るのが楽しみです。

Mariko san and I got to know each other last year through a Scout Caravan event which was an event calligrapher Takamiya Hanako sensei  host the event. Since then, Mariko san and I were connected on social media, but we have never “talked” before. I was so excited to schedule a zoom meeting with her.

As a mom of 3 children, her hope is to help other moms have a peaceful experience by practicing calligraphy so that they can go home and be present with their children. She calls it “Fude iku”—筆育 Brush education—and she is very  passionate about reaching out to other moms.

During the meeting, we shared our passion and our enthusiasm as a students of calligraphy. We shared tips and ideas on how we practice and how we tach. We shared our dreams and visions for the future. It is such a delight to have a group of friends to support each other and strive together. 

With Mariko san’s very comforting Kansai ben (western dialect), I too talk in Kansai ben even though I hardly do so as I usually talk in standard Japanese with out much distinct dialect. It felt like I was myself again. 

Thank you, Mariko san, for the fun time. I am beyond grateful for seeing circle of calligraphy friends expanding.  I look forward to going back to Japan next time.
